Kick off your Thanksgiving weekend with Fredericksburg’s favorite tradition! The Fredericksburg Turkey Trot takes place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and is a fun-filled morning of fitness, fresh air, and community spirit for participants of all ages. 

Whether you're a casual walker or a seasoned runner, there’s a race for everyone: 

• 1-Mile Fun Run (10 and under) 
• 5K Run/Walk 
• 10K Run/Walk

The scenic courses wind through Fredericksburg neighborhoods and are family-friendly. Bring the whole crew—including leashed dogs, strollers, and babies in carriers. 

Costume Contest 

Come dressed in your most creative turkey-inspired attire! A prize will be awarded to the best-dressed Turkey Trot participant. 

Benefitting Little Hearts Child Development Center 

Proceeds from the Fredericksburg Turkey Trot benefit Little Hearts Child Development Center, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood care and education for infants and toddlers, ages 6 weeks to 47 months. Little Hearts helps meet a critical childcare need in Fredericksburg and the surrounding Hill Country by offering a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive while supporting working families in our community.

8:35 AM 5k Start 

9:30 AM 1 Mile Fun Run (10 and under) 

Entry Fees 

5K/10K Run/Walk $35.00 through 2026-11-27

1 Mile Youth Fun Run Ages 1 - 10 (unchipped) $10.00 through 2026-11-28

Packet Pickup 

Early Packet Pickup at Fredericksburg Elementary School, (Friday)November 27th, 3-6 pm 

Race Day Packet Pickup and Day of Registration, 7:00-8:00 am 

Registration fees for race day or packet pickup day must be paid in cash or check only. MUST PROVIDE PHOTO ID WITH CHECK.
