Sam Sagebiel, owner and artist derives great pleasure to design and create furniture and furnishings out of mesquite wood, including custom designs. Sam works exclusively as a mesquite artist, using his talent to take common wild mesquite trees and molds them into beautiful art. Mesquite wood has unmatched character. It is warm, with a rich patina. The color varies from red hues, light brown and dark brown to yellow sap wood. These handcrafted items are considered art heirloom pieces. Therefore, each mesquite product is named, signed and dated by the artist. Sam says he sees the art in the tree before he starts to work on it - his work is merely to set the beauty free for everyone to enjoy.
